Knob Creek 2001
Knob Creek 2001 Limited Edition is a one-time release and symbolises the handing over of roles from Booker Noe to his son Fred. The barrels for this Limited Edition were laid down by Booker in 2001, 3 years before his passing in 2004, and bottled by Fred in 2015 in “honour of all he learned from his father.” All 3 batches were released simultaneously and the company has made it clear that they are distinct batches from one another. A press release from the distillery explains that batch 1 is sweeter and softer, batch 2 is woodier and more tannic, and batch 3 is somewhere in the middle. Aged for 14 years and bottled at 100 proof and each batch contains approximately 12,000 bottles.
