Old Grandad 114
Old Grandad 114 For Sale
Old Grandad 114 is high rye bourbon from Jim Bean (63% Corn, 27% Rye, 10% Malted Barley) produced at their Clermont Distillery.
'Old Grandad' was named after Basil Hayden who made his name by distilling bourbon made with a higher percentage of rye. During prohibition it was one of the few whiskeys permitted to be distilled for medicinal purposes. Today Old Grandad is bottled at 3 different proofs, 80, 100 (BiB) and 114. A few years ago it was rumoured that 114 would be discontinued, it is however still produced in small quantities.
