W L Weller 12 Year Old AKA 'Weller 12' is produced by Buffalo Trace and is part of the W L Weller range.

Weller 12 shares much in common with Van Winkle Special Reserve Lot B; it comes from the same 'wheated' mash bill, shares the same warehouse and is aged for the same time, 12 years. The difference is barrel selection, once tasted the very best barrels are blended into Van Winkle 12 Year Lot B and the barrels that don't quite make the 'Special Reserve' cut are bottled as W L Weller 12.

Weller 12 was rebranded in 2017 and bottled in a slimmer taller bottle, the squatter 'bell' shaped bottle houses whiskey released in 2016 and before.

Tasting notes; almond, caramel, vanilla, oak and leather.
